Fossilised Carcharodontosaurus Tooth

$5,300.00

Kem Kem Basin, Morocco
Cretaceous Period ~100 million years old

A formidable relic of one of the largest predatory dinosaurs to have walked the Earth. This authentic Carcharodontosaurus tooth dates back approximately 100 million years to the Cretaceous period, when vast river systems once flowed through what is now the Kem Kem Basin of Morocco.

Carcharodontosaurus, meaning “shark-toothed lizard”, earned its name from its long, serrated teeth designed to slice through flesh with precision. Over millions of years, this tooth was buried in sediment, gradually mineralising as groundwater replaced its organic structure with stone, preserving its form in remarkable detail.
